In the middle of the manufacturing process, we don’t wish this wheel to be simply rectangular, being honest this way is the cheapest manufacturing option (that is the reason why the original looks like that), as a result we added a new element in the design, the metal arch capable of high tensions, just like the Eiffel Tower’s base! 

However, this arch proved a challenge during the design process, in the engineering aspect a bunch of our hairs turned white! But at last we managed with a design that goes in pair with its price.

BIKEfun Light.1 mud guard wheel price is 700 NTD

Similar to the 7-Spoke trolley wheel’s structure, the final product is a triple hollow wheel that is pleasant to view.

In order to lengthen the life of the product, BIKEfun specially molded a tire rubber for it, it is also exchangeable!

There are some similar products in the market, however they use already marketed O-rings and use them as tires, in BIKEfun we don’t believe that is an appropriate design. Because when folding the bike, the O-ring wheel may damage the floor due to a small contact patch, you need a flat and wide wheel rubber (just like a car’s tires), besides working for longer, it reduces the possible damages to both the ground and the bike!

Despite using a metal wheel with exchangeable tire rubbers, through high grade aluminum and CNC machining, Light.1 mud guard wheel weights 22 grams its even lighter than the stock wheel!
